Chiang Mai Family Tour - Family Experience at Tawan Riverside Elephant Conservation Camp

There are many elephant conservation camps in the Meiwang area of ​​Chiang Mai. We chose to stay at the Tawan Riverside Elephant Camp for two nights. 🏞️Day 1 We arrived in the afternoon and first inspected the environment. We saw that the elephants were free to move around, which was very different from the ones in the zoo where they were locked in fences. The children found it very novel. The elephant camp is very primitive, and the accommodation rooms are primitive stand-alone cabins. There is only one restaurant in the elephant camp, but you can see the riverside scenery, which is suitable for checking in and taking photos. After a full meal at night, you can also take a walk around to see the elephants. 🏞️The second day There are different activities in the one-day group. We participated in bamboo rafting (the guide provided waterproof bags and recommended not to bring valuables), jungle walks with elephants, bathing elephants, etc. 🐘🐘🐘🚿🚿 It is recommended to wear swimsuits and sportswear during the entire activity, as clothes can get wet easily. 💦 One-day tours are provided with car pick-up, which is suitable for family travel. 🏞️Day 3 We signed up for the elephant wake-up service. The elephants came to our balcony to look for food. We got a big sack of food and asked the elephant trainer to help take photos.
