Friends, as a seasoned traveler, I've stayed in all sorts of hotels, but SO/ Maldives still surprised me like never before! 🏝️First Impressions Upon Arrival The speedboat ride from Malé to the hotel offered breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival at the pier, the staff greeted us with warm smiles, enthusiastically helped with our luggage, and provided a swift and thoughtful check-in experience, complete with refreshing welcome drinks. My initial impression was overwhelmingly positive. 🛏️Room Experience My ocean-view suite was absolutely stunning! The spacious room featured a blend of modern style and island charm, with wooden elements complementing the soft bedding for a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Drawing back the curtains revealed a breathtaking view of the endless ocean, bathed in sunlight, like a magnificent painting. The room's smart facilities were convenient, allowing for one-touch control of lighting, music, and air conditioning. The private terrace with an infinity pool provided the perfect spot for a refreshing swim and pure relaxation. 🍱A Feast for the Senses The hotel's diverse dining options were a true culinary delight. Breakfast at the main restaurant offered a wide variety of fresh tropical fruits, freshly baked bread, and local specialties, providing a burst of energy with every bite. Dinner at the beachfront restaurant, accompanied by the gentle lapping of waves and flickering candlelight, was an unforgettable experience. We savored fresh lobster, succulent crab, and other seafood delicacies, paired with fine wines, creating a truly magical ambiance. Every bite was pure bliss. In addition, the Asian fusion restaurant offered a diverse menu of international flavors to satisfy every palate. 🏄‍♀️Recreational Activities This is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts! I tried snorkeling, and with the guidance of the instructor, I dove into the underwater world, surrounded by vibrant coral reefs and schools of tropical fish. It felt like a dream come true. Even if you can't swim, don't worry! The patient instructors provide guidance, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. You can also try windsurfing, surfing, diving, and other activities to experience the speed and thrill of the ocean. After a day of fun, relax and soak up the sun on the beach or work up a sweat at the gym. 💁‍♂️Exceptional Service The hotel's service was impeccable! The staff was attentive and accommodating, responding promptly to every need, whether it was dining at the restaurant, participating in activities, or requiring assistance in the room. Their friendly and approachable demeanor made us feel truly welcome. Once, I accidentally left something behind, and the staff promptly contacted me and helped me retrieve it. Their thoughtfulness was truly touching. Of course, the hotel has minor drawbacks. During peak season, the beach and pool can get a bit crowded, and it's best to book water activities in advance. However, these minor inconveniences didn't detract from the overall perfect image of the hotel in my mind. My stay at SO/ Maldives was truly unforgettable! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dream island getaway. I'm sure you'll fall in love with it too!
