Visit Redang Island at the end of March for a perfect getaway!

Scrolling through social media recently brought back memories of my 2022 island vacation. My first visit to Pulau Redang was at the end of March that year, right after COVID restrictions were lifted and national tourism reopened. It was also the start of the puasa fasting period, so the island wasn't crowded, and the spring waters were stunningly clear, making me want to stay there forever! Last year, I mentioned to my sister and friends about revisiting, but we ended up booking for late June. By then, there were more tourists, the water wasn't as clean, and the weather was less favorable with strong waves. Even playing in the shallows felt risky, which was a bit disappointing. Many friends have asked when is the best time to visit. Comparing my photos, the first four are from March 2022, and the last four are from June 2024. Which set do you prefer? This year, the end of March remains the best time, coinciding with the fasting period for Malaysian locals. Most importantly, the photos will turn out beautifully! After Raya in early April, you'll need to plan carefully.
