Brock Bottom

#manchestertrips Brock Bottom beauty spot on the River Brock at Claughton near Garstang, Lancashire is a local hidden gem tucked away amongst the trees on the very western edge of the Forest of Bowland AONB (area of outstanding natural beauty). Much of the river is very shallow and a popular place for families to visit, particularly in the warmer months, for scenic picnics and paddling opportunities. The area also includes some relaxing waterside and woodland trails to explore, including the ruins of an old cotton spinning mill, built around 1790. Lovely autumnal walk along the river through the woods. A little muddy in places and could be challenging for the more unsteady of us but that's just to be expected for a woodland walk. The dogs had a fantastic time leaping through the undergrowth and into the water. Address: Brock Mill Ln, Manchester, United Kingdom
