A different Italy

#myhiddengems I managed to squeeze matera into my itinerary after I was told it is where one of the James bond movies were shot. It was No time to die and I clearly remembered what it looked like. I was in Bari and then i took the bus to Matera. It took a little more than one hour to get there. The city of Matera is in the Basilicata region. It was a new experience for me to travel here. Something about it looks and feels different too from the regular italy I had been experiencing. It feels somewhat empty and remote but at the same time there is plenty of greenery. A cool historic town that is full of architecture and has a very laid back vibe. And that is exactly what i recommend doing in Matera. To stroll around and soak in the chilled vibe. Having said so, I did manage to visit several belvedres. They are look out points that give a great view.
