Review of Kamikochi: Waking up early is totally worth it! Let me tell you, this trip to Kamikochi was absolutely worth waking up at 5 AM! I’m proud of myself for managing to get up that early to catch one of the first buses. I arrived around 6:30 AM, and the weather was just perfect—cool and refreshing at about 18°C. I regret not bringing a jacket because it was a bit chilly, but it wasn’t unbearable. As the morning progressed, the sun came out, the temperature warmed up, and more people started arriving. This place is truly stunning. Early in the morning, there aren’t too many people, so it’s easy to walk around and take photos. The morning light is especially beautiful. For those who enjoy adventure, there are plenty of people trekking here, some starting as early as dawn. Final thoughts In conclusion, Kamikochi is definitely a place you should visit at least once. If you’re in Japan and have the chance to go early, you’ll enjoy the fresh air, pleasant atmosphere, and fewer crowds. If you’re planning a trip, I highly recommend going early in the morning. And don’t forget to bring a jacket, even during Japan’s summer season! 🤣
