Together with Ishitegi Temple a visit to Isaniwa Shrine is well worth it, not more than 700 meters from Dogo Onsen. The approach to the shrine is more daunting but easily doable, just take your time and hug the center rail if you feel uneasy. Two emperors and an empress are enshrined here. Check out the treasure hall with swords and armour if you are a samurai aficionado. In 2024, I want to come back here. #2024wish
