Ehime｜Indulge in the luxurious Dogo Onsen water at the spacious public bath of Route Inn Matsuyama

Chain business hotels are becoming increasingly competitive, not only focusing on convenience, comfortable beds, and affordable prices but also offering more refined additional services. During my stay in Matsuyama, I initially planned to visit Dogo Onsen and was looking for a simple and convenient hotel. To my surprise, Route Inn exceeded expectations with its modern decor, rooms featuring a separate sofa area, and an air purifier. The highlight was the public bath, which uses Dogo Onsen water and is significantly larger than the actual Dogo Onsen. The amenities, including lotion and toner, are from the KOSE brand, adding a touch of luxury. The breakfast the next morning was also impressive. With over ten small dishes served in small portions, the variety included onsen eggs, ham salad, hot dogs, lotus root fritters, fried chicken, tea rice, and freshly baked bread. The diverse and hearty meal provided travelers with energy to start the day. The spacious restaurant ensured there was no need to queue for seating. Located on Katsuyama Street, the hotel is just a short walk from the tram station.
