ShweSanTaw Pagoda, Ye, Myanmar

The ancient city of Myanmar is located in the south of Mawlamyine. The atmosphere in the city is similar to Thailand several decades ago. (Ye) Mon State is a city with many temples. ShweSanTaw Pagoda is a large golden pagoda that is very beautiful. It contains the hair of the Buddha (His golden hair). Inside the temple, there are old Buddha statues and a reclining Buddha. In the middle of the city, it is an important landmark of Ye. Next to it is a monastery in the middle of a large reservoir. It is a place for relaxation. The townspeople like to come to sit and relax, make merit, and worship the Buddha.
