| A journey of discovery. 🌟Highlights: [○] Honghe Prefecture Museum is located on the west side of Honghe Square, the administrative center of Honghe Prefecture, Mengzi City, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It was built in December 2003 and has more than 8,089 cultural relics. It is the only comprehensive local museum in Honghe Prefecture. It opened on October 8, 2005 and was rated as a national second-level museum in 2009! [○] The Honghe Prefecture Museum exhibits more than 1,000 items including bronze wares, ceramics, bronze drums, calligraphy and painting, ethnic costumes, handicrafts, and folk musical instruments. Among them are national treasure-level cultural relics such as bronze figurines and lamps, Wen Zhengming’s calligraphy “Ten Poems of the Western Garden”, and Wanjiaba-shaped bronze drums! 🚉Transportation strategy: If you drive directly to the museum, there is parking lot, free of charge! 🎫Ticket Information: The museum is free, closed on Mondays, and open from 9:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday! 📝Note tips: [!] There are 10 ethnic groups living in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, including Hani, Yi, Miao, Dai, Zhuang, Yao, Hui, Buyi, Lahu, and Bulang (Mang people).
