"French Pearl" - Menton

A town in southeastern France, nicknamed the "Pearl of France", close to the Italian border. Flowers and fruits are produced here, and the town is named after the Lemon Festival held in February every year. Unfortunately, I missed the Lemon Festival which opened on February 17 this time. This unique event in the world is said to attract hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. The festival itself mobilizes more than 100 tons of citrus fruits for decoration and exhibition. You can also enjoy the lively and dazzling parade of floats, which put Menton in a festive atmosphere. A visit to Menton is impossible without strolling along the pedestrian street, this "esplanade" lined with shops and restaurants that leads to the belfry gardens and the sea. The city is built on the mountain. The orange-red roofs and bright yellow exterior walls contrast beautifully with the azure blue sea, exuding a passionate Italian style. The cold currents and rain from the north are blocked by the mountains, so Menton has more than 300 sunny days a year, making it a health resort for the French.
