[Kumamoto] Aso Bus Tour Afternoon Itinerary & After-party at Local Restaurant 'Toichi' (Daikanbo View & Okonomiyaki) ⛰️🍺 The afternoon of the Aso Bus Tour was truly a feast for the eyes and soul. After exploring the breathtaking observatory and fairytale-like hot spring village, we returned to the city and capped off the day with a perfect meal at the local favorite, 'Toichi.' From admiring the majestic nature to a delicious dinner, I'm sharing my experiences of this fulfilling afternoon! 1. 1:15 PM: A Breathtaking 360-Degree Panoramic View! 'Daikanbo Observatory' ⛰️ We took a bus and arrived at 'Daikanbo,' Aso's premier viewpoint. Overwhelming scale: From the observatory, a 360-degree panorama unfolds, revealing the vast caldera basin and the Aso Five Peaks, which surround it like a folding screen. As I gazed at the magnificent scenery with the cool breeze, I felt all the accumulated stress wash away. The photos here are guaranteed to be the best! 📸 2. 2:15 PM: A quiet, healing stroll through Kurokawa Onsen Village ♨️ The highlight of our afternoon itinerary was the fairytale-like Kurokawa Onsen Village. The traditional ryokans, with their black tiles and wooden structures, were clustered along the valley, creating a truly artistic atmosphere. For about 100 minutes, I strolled through the village, listening to the babbling river, and enjoyed a foot bath. My fatigue was completely relieved. 3. 5:45 PM: Tour End & After-Party at a Local Restaurant, "Doichi" 🏮 At 5:45 PM, we arrived at Sakuramachi Terminal, concluding our bus tour. No trip is complete without delicious food and drinks! We headed to "Doichi," a local favorite near the terminal, specializing in teppanyaki. 🍺 With the "Banju Set," a great value. The restaurant was already bustling with locals after work! We ordered the "Banju Set," known for its great value. Main Dish: Okonomiyaki & Yakisoba The thick okonomiyaki was filling and filling, and the yakisoba was delicious, with springy noodles soaked in a savory sauce. Side Dishes: Oden (Daikon, Konjac, Fish Cake) The daikon, perfectly seasoned and well-cooked, was a real treat. The warm broth was soothing. Alcohol: Highball & Coke A refreshing highball washed away the travel fatigue, and I felt like I had nothing left to envy. We enjoyed a delightful evening, reflecting on a fulfilling day, while enjoying the sizzling food sizzling on the grill. 📝 Trip Summary [Daikanbo (Scenic View) → Kurokawa Onsen (Walk) ➡️ Toichi (Dinner)] It was a perfect itinerary: in the afternoon, the magnificent view and hot springs cleansed my eyes and soul, and in the evening, okonomiyaki and beer delighted my palate.
