New Town, Peru

The first meal in Peru must be local cuisine. I ate directly in front of the long Peruvian pyramid. I listened to a lot of stories told by the restaurant manager. The most impressive thing was 1. There are many Chinese restaurants here. They are collectively called chifa. There are more than 3,000 Chinese restaurants here, which is amazing. 2. Cebiche lemon pickled raw fish is sour and sweet and very good. Because Lima has a long coastline, it is not uncommon to eat fresh seafood. But the locals don't eat seafood at night because they think seafood is not fresh at night (then seafood restaurants are closed at night???) 3. People here love salty and sweet food (sooner or later they will suffer from three highs and diabetes...) 4. The rice was really delicious. It tasted a lot like chicken rice (I thought I flew to Malaysia?). The restaurant manager said salt, garlic, and corn were added to it. 5. Lomo Saltado beef stir-fry is a common dish here. It is very filling (I was full until the evening) 6. Pisco Sour and Pina Botannica are both delicious. Come to Peru and drink the wine directly. But I personally prefer Pisco Sour 7. Peruvians really love to eat potatoes and corn (I understand why they like corn. I saw the show "Following Big Brother to the Maya" and saw that people in Mexico also love to eat corn) 8. Appetizers: dried and salted corn kernels taste a lot like popcorn. But the appearance is completely different. 9. Peruvians love chicken the most. Meat is second.
