🌊 🎣 Amanohashidate & Ine: Japan’s Hidden Coastal Gems

Amanohashidate, one of Japan’s three most scenic views, is a breathtaking sandbar covered in pine trees that stretches across Miyazu Bay. Nearby, the fishing village of Ine is famous for its unique funaya (boat houses), where homes sit directly on the water’s edge, preserving a centuries-old way of life. Together, these destinations offer a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and coastal charm. I took a day tour from Kyoto to this hidden coastal gem. Here’s the itinerary below Itinerary 🗒️: - Highlight 1: Amanohashidate - Ride on Chair Lift (This is a must do! The view going up and down was so memorable for me.) 🚠 - Highlight 2: Chionji Temple 🛕 - Highlight 3: Ine Funaya 🎣⚓🐟 I would recommend to stay a night or two over there if possible. That’s what I’ll do the next time I visit this place. This place is all about the view! #amanohashidate #inenofunaya #inevillage

Amanohashidate

#amanohashidate (天橋立) is one of Japan's three scenic views. The sandbar is located in Miyazu Bay in northern #kyoto #japan Viewed from the mountains at either end of the bay, the Amanohashidate Sandbar (which roughly translates to "bridge in heaven") looks like a pathway between heaven and earth. #unforgettableexperiences #happynewyear
