Angkhang Royal Agricultural Station, Chiang Mai Province

Angkhang Royal Agricultural Station is located on a mountain at an altitude of approximately 1,400 meters above sea level. It is the first research station of the Royal Project, initiated by His Majesty King Rama IX, to promote the community to have an agricultural career and replace opium cultivation. Originally, this hill area was a bare mountain, but it has become a farmland and many crops are grown. Currently, this place is considered a natural tourist attraction and a beautiful agricultural tourist attraction. It is open for tourists to visit the agricultural plots, which are mostly cold-weather fruits. After visiting and taking pictures, there is also a shop of the Royal Project selling products, souvenirs, and mementos under the symbol of "Doi Kham". There are processed products, fresh vegetables, organic fruits, and various woven handicrafts. The highlight that is considered the most touristy spot during the winter is to see the cherry blossoms, or what many people call the Sakura of Thailand, which bloom in pink all over Doi Angkhang.
