Forget the South of France, let's go to Uruguay!

Montevideo seems to have been carefully polished by nature, with clear blue skies and not a cloud in sight. The azure sky is like a clear blue sapphire, spreading over the city without a single impurity. The sun shines down without reservation, bathing the entire city in a golden glow. In the early morning, the sun gently shines through the curtains and onto our faces. At 8:30 am, we set off from our hotel in the old town. The hotel is steeped in history, with its ancient walls and exquisite decorations telling stories of the past. We bid farewell to the tranquility of the hotel and boarded our vehicle. The engine roared to life, and we slowly left the old town, which bears the marks of time. The car sped along the winding highway, and the scenery outside the window was like a moving painting, constantly changing. We headed east, driving over 130 km to our destination, Punta del Este in the Maldonado Department of Uruguay. Along the way, vast fields stretched as far as the eye could see, with green waves of grass gently swaying in the breeze. Occasionally, we saw herds of cattle and sheep grazing leisurely, creating a peaceful and idyllic rural scene. The architecture of Casapueblo is unique, perfectly showcasing the beauty of Mediterranean and Greek styles. As you approach it, you feel as if you are instantly transported to the distant Mediterranean coast. The pure white exterior walls, combined with simple yet elegant lines and a blue and white color scheme, exude romance and elegance. All of this is a direct reflection of Carlos Páez Vilaró's artistic ideals. He poured his love and dedication to art into every inch of this building.
