Spending Christmas alone in Lofoten, Northern Norway

At the end of the year, I successfully completed two Iceland Trip Moments groups, flew to Bodø in Northern Norway alone, rented a car, took a ferry, and started my lonely journey to Northern Norway. This is my first time to set foot in this uninhabited land, and it also coincides with Christmas. Many local residents have moved to the warmer European continent to spend the winter, as if leaving an deserted and uninhabited island. 🚗 /How to get there/ The first one: Like me, fly to Oslo, the capital of Norway, and then transfer to a domestic flight to Bodø. Rent a car in Bodø, take the ferry with both people and the car, arrive at Village A in the south of Lofoten, and start driving by yourself. The second type: visit Tromso first, then spend one or two days driving into the Lofoten Islands from the north. The third option: Take a plane and arrive directly at the airport of Leknes, a city in the central Lofoten Islands. 🏨 /About Accommodation/ Be sure to stay in the overwater cabin here (locally called "Rorbuer"). The beautiful fjord scenery is right outside the door. It is best to have a kitchen. You can go to the supermarket to buy some food in the evening and cook yourself. You can choose to live in Village A, the southernmost part of the archipelago, and then head north from here without looking back. Or live in Svolvær in the middle, a relatively large fishing village with many supermarkets and restaurants, making life convenient. 📷 /Recommended check-in points/ The observation deck of Reine is one of the check-in spots for Internet celebrities. Many people squat here at night to enjoy the night view. If you are lucky, you can take pictures of the fishing village and the Aurora in the same frame. There are also gas stations and stores nearby. In the village of Sakrisøy, there are many wooden houses with local characteristics for drying cod. One of them near the water is very beautiful when it is lit up at night. The bridge in Hamnøy village is perhaps the most famous check-in point in Lofoten. Standing on the bridge, you can take a perfect composition of the majestic mountain peaks in the distance and the nearby wooden houses of the Nordic fishing village. Unstad Beach is what I call surfing beach. It is a black sand beach located in the north-central part of Lofoten. Even in winter, you can still see surfers in full gear coming here to surf. Eggum Pebble Beach, with a pebbled shoal, looks unremarkable, but is surprisingly photogenic. There is also an abandoned fort nearby. Henningsvaer The football field in Henningsvaer is the loneliest stadium in the world. Players shouldn’t have to pick up the ball, right? ?
