It takes about two and a half hours from Motobu Port to Yoron Island. Two ferries, Marix Line and Maruei Ferry, operate alternately every day. Departing Motobu Port at 9:20 → Arriving Yoron Port at 11:50 I took the Maruei Ferry. You make a reservation in advance by phone, and have your boarding ticket issued at the counter on the day. I made a reservation for the cheapest second-class room with a dormitory seat. A very large Maruei Ferry. The ship was equipped with a restaurant, shower room, shop, and observation salon, making for a comfortable voyage. Also, since it was the off-season, the second-class bunk beds were empty, so I was able to sleep comfortably all the way to Yoron Port. Traveling by plane is nice, but traveling by ferry is also fun.
