Jvari Monastery in Mtskheta

This is a World Heritage monastery that is located on a hill away from the center of Mtskheta, so you need to take a taxi there and back. It is said to be the place where Saint Nino erected a cross, and it is said to be shaped like a cross when viewed from above. Jvari means cross, so it could be translated as the Church of the Cross. The inside was a small and cute monastery. From the top of the hill, you can see the city of Mtskheta and the confluence of the Mtskvari and Aragvi rivers.
