The road to Cape Chikyu was long, and it was snowing heavily. I was the only one on the mountain road. When I arrived at Cape Chikyu, it was still snowing heavily, and visibility was poor. Fortunately, the sky cleared up after a while. On Cape Chikyu, you can see the curvature of the earth. A cruise ship in the distance slowly sails on the water, looking so small compared to the sea. Muroran is an industrial city. On the other side of Cape Chikyu, you can see the industrial area with thick smoke. Tomakomai is a quiet city with few tourists. It is also an industrial city with a very developed shipping industry. Standing on the breakwater, you can see the whole city, the huge red chimneys, the port full of fishing boats, and the quiet seagulls. I regret not waiting for nightfall. I could only wait for the night of Tomakomai at the station, the train illuminated by the sunset, and the lonely chimney under the blue tone.
