Iceland has the highest number of Puffins in the world accounting for 60% of the world's puffin population In other words, there are 8 million to 10 million Puffins that call Iceland their home😆 That’s why many people call the parrot the national bird of Iceland (Although Iceland’s national bird is actually Gyrfalcon) They fly out of Iceland to spend the winter at sea every winter They return to Iceland to nest every summer There are chances to find Puffin in the following places! South coast of Iceland Dyrhólaey, Ingólfshöfði, Westman islands, Lundey Eastern Iceland Borgarfjörður Eystri Westfjord, Iceland Látrabjarg Bird Watching Cape Northwest Iceland Hornbjarg, Hornstrandir, Hælavíkurbjarg Western Iceland Breiðafjörður We have been to Westfjord before, although it is a bird watching paradise but there were relatively few Puffins 🥹🥹 However, this time I went to the east to see much more!
