Nagoya Hotel Recommendations

📍Location: JR Gate Tower Hotel ✨ Hotel features The biggest selling point of the hotel is its extremely convenient location, directly above Nagoya Station, which is great for travelers taking the Shinkansen! The room has a good view, new facilities, a bathtub to take a bath and relax. Arrived around 10pm, the Check-in process was slower, but the room felt quite comfortable to live in. ♨️ Supporting facilities The hotel is a business type hotel, with simple but practical equipment and basic facilities. However, the attitude of luggage storage after Check-out was average and I felt less willing to help, which was more unfortunate. In addition, there is an additional charge to get a bottle of water to drink, which although reasonable but somewhat affects the experience. 🛁 Room environment The room space is spacious, the overall design is simple and clean, the bathtub is a plus point, after the shower can take a dip and relax. The view is good, you can see the city view of Nagoya, the night view is a plus! The mattress is moderately soft and comfortable. 🍽️ Breakfast & Food Experience I didn't order breakfast, because there are so many food options near Nagoya Station. There are department stores, convenience stores, ramen shops, cafes, etc. within two steps of the door. 🔹I wanted to try 📍Across Cube's Ma喰 family Hida beef barbecue, but it turned out to make a reservation, and there were too many people, so I couldn't eat. Then I saw a shop on the ground floor called Shirakawa Meiekiten うなぎ和食しら river, eat eel rice (Hitsumabushi) specialty shop - came to Nagoya is one of the things, so change camp, try! The three ways of eating (original / with spring onion / with tea bubble rice) are rich in layers, worth recommending. 🔹Miso Katsu - Another specialty, but this time I tried one of the restaurants inside the train station, the taste is salty, you may have to choose a restaurant that suits your taste to be more satisfied. 🛎️ Hotel Service The service was average overall, the staff attitude was not bad, but obviously felt understaffed, Check-in & Check-out was slower. Additionally, the luggage storage experience was average, with a sense of “not too willing to help,” a slight deduction. If you don't mind the service details, the location & room quality of this hotel is actually quite good. 💗 Check-in experience This hotel is a good choice for travelers who are in a hurry or have a short stay in Nagoya if purely the convenience & accommodation environment is a consideration. However, if you value hotel service, it may feel a bit cynical. Nagoya city is easy to travel, Nagoya Castle is full of elegance, although the interior is under renovation can not enter, but it is worth going to take pictures. The city center walking & tasting the food is a first-class experience, especially the eel rice is genuinely worth a try!
