Jochon Glacier

The Yoxiong Glacier is located at the junction of Bachen County and Sog County in Nagqu City, Tibet. It is part of the Buga Gangadis Glacier and has an altitude of 6,328 meters. The natural height of the glacier is about 400 meters, the width is about 200 meters, and the lake area is about 2,000 square meters during the flood season. The name of the Yoshio Glacier comes from the local Mao Valley, which is shaped like a lotus and surrounds the entire glacier, hence the name Yoshio. The Youxiong Glacier rushes down from the peak of Buga Snow Mountain at an altitude of 6,328 meters, forming a spectacular picture of hanging glaciers, like a giant dragon pouring down from a great height, which is spectacular. The natural environment here is beautiful, the culture and history are long, and there is a moving legend about the establishment of the Kingdom of Gesar. In front of the glacier are two beautiful mountain rivers, the Yuxiong River and the Xiong River, with clear water.
