😋 Freshly Fried & Full of Fun at Calbee+ Kokusai-dori, Okinawa!

While strolling down Kokusai Street in Naha, we came across Calbee+—a bright, cheery little snack shop that caught our attention with its vibrant signage and unmistakable potato aroma. We’re already big fans of Japanese snacks, so we had to step in and check it out. We were immediately drawn to the freshly fried sweet potato sticks—crispy outside, soft inside, and lightly sweet. Honestly, they were so addictive! I loved the mix of regular and purple sweet potato—they gave the snack a unique Okinawan twist. We also tried the salt soft serve made with Okinawan sea salt. That balance of salty and sweet was unexpectedly good, especially in the hot weather. Inside the shop, there were so many exclusive Calbee snacks you can’t find outside Okinawa. The packaging was super cute, and we grabbed a few souvenirs for friends. It’s not a huge shop, but service was prompt and the staff were friendly. This is definitely a fun and tasty stop if you’re visiting Kokusai-dori.
