Phra Pathom Chedi, Nakhon Pathom

Phra Pathom Chedi is considered the largest chedi in Thailand and is known as the "First Chedi" or the first stupa in the land of Suvarnabhumi. It has a long history dating back to the era of Emperor Ashoka and has undergone continuous restoration, most notably during the reign of King Rama IV, who ordered its renovation to achieve the current appearance. Phra Ruang Rojanarith: A sacred Buddha statue located in front of the chedi. Museum within the temple: Features ancient artifacts and historical exhibits for study. Annual Phra Pathom Chedi Worship Festival: Held around November, this is a lively and grand temple fair.
