Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province 👍Or as the locals call it, Wat Phra That, is a sacred ancient site and a spiritual center and symbol of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. It enshrines the relics of the Lord Buddha, which are the tooth relic or the left crystal canine, making Buddhists from all over the world continuously visit to pay homage. 💐According to legend, Prince Thanakumara and Queen Hemchala were the ones who brought the relics to be enshrined at Hat Sai Kaeo and built a small pagoda as a symbol. Later, King Sri Dharmasokarat established Nakhon Si Thammarat City and built a new pagoda, a Lanka-style pagoda 55 meters high.
