Yi dance: Using thousand-year-old dance steps to step on the heartbeat of the earth

The Yi ethnic group's dance of carrying vegetables, also known as "dance of carrying vegetables", was included in the list of representative items of national intangible cultural heritage in 2008. It is a ceremonial custom dance that originated from ancient sacrifices and has long been popular in Nanjian Yi Autonomous County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. When the local Yi people hold banquets and serve food, they perform this dance to show respect to the guests and increase the festive atmosphere. The dancers dance on a tray, and their dance moves are mostly spinning, sometimes vigorous, sometimes graceful.
