During my trip to Nanjing, I was completely blown away by Hegui Lou in Yunshuiyao! This incredible Tulou is an absolute must-see! 🚩As soon as I arrived at Hegui Lou, I was struck by its magnificent exterior. A square Tulou, it stands out amidst the surrounding landscape of mountains, water, and farmland. Its grand scale and every brick and pillar seem to whisper stories of the past. 💡Can you believe this Tulou was built on a swamp? It's said that over 200 pinewood piles were driven into the ground during its construction. Over 200 years later, it remains as sturdy as ever, a true architectural marvel. Inside, the most fascinating feature is the pair of "Yin and Yang Wells." Just a few meters apart, one well holds clear, sweet water, while the other is murky and undrinkable. It's a perfect blend of nature's wonders and ancient wisdom. 🏠Hegui Lou is more than just a building; it's a living history of the family. Walking through its halls, you can sense the strong family bonds. Every wood carving and mural reflects the ancestors' yearning for a better life and their hopes for future generations.
