Explore the Zen World of Niushou Mountain, the Buddhist Holy Land in Jinling

You can also prepare some food and water. 🚙Transportation Guide 🚙Self-Driving/Taxi: Navigate to the underground parking lot at the East Gate of Niushou Mountain. 🚌Public Transportation: Take subway Line 1 in Nanjing city to Tianlongsi Station, then transfer to bus 712 or 755 and ride 11 stops to Niushou Mountain Scenic Area Station. Alternatively, you can share a ride from the subway station for CNY10 per person. In addition, there are free direct buses to the scenic area from Nanjing South Railway Station/Tianlongsi on weekends and holidays. ✨Attraction Introduction 📍Foding Palace: Located on the west peak of Niushou Mountain and built on a mining pit, it consists of the Zen Wonderland above ground and the underground palace, where the Buddha's cranial relic is enshrined. 📍Foding Pagoda: The iconic building of Foding Holy Land, about 88m high, with nine levels and four sides, echoes the Hongjue Temple Pagoda. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Niushou Mountain by climbing the pagoda. 📍Foding Temple: Located on the southwest side of the main peak, facing east, it is symmetrically arranged along the central axis and follows the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty. 📍Niutou Zen Culture Park: Located on the hillside on the south side of the east peak, it retains the Hongjue Temple Pagoda and cliff stone carvings, and adopts the wooden structure architecture of Jiangnan garden style. 📍Zheng He Cultural Park: The tomb of Zheng He, where you can learn about Zheng He's voyages to the West. Tour Route 📍Classic Route: Enter the scenic area from the East Entrance - Niushou Square - Foding Temple - Foding Palace (Zen Wonderland, Relic Hall) - Foding Pagoda - Zheng He Cultural Park - Chanlin Road Scenic Belt - Exit the scenic area from the East Entrance. 📍Photo Spot Route: Enter the scenic area from the West Gate - Foding Palace (pool, corridor) - Underground Palace (Thousand Buddha Hall, Ten Thousand Buddha Corridor) - Foding Pagoda - Foding Temple - Niutou Zen Culture Park. 🍱Dining and Accommodation • Dining: There are noodle restaurants on the first floor of Foding Palace and on the way to Foding Pagoda, beverage shops near Tianque Station, and you can also dine at the vegetarian restaurant next to Foding Temple. • Accommodation: Nanjing Niushoushan Hilton Hotel, Huazhu Niushou Yinlan Homestay, and Vienna Hotel (Nanjing Guli Niushou Mountain Branch) are all good choices.
