Nanjing, Gaochun: Getaway to Guilaixi Hotel & Buck Rabbit Farm!

Gaochun is definitely a great place for Nanjing locals to spend a weekend! For the Labor Day holiday, we avoided the popular attractions and checked the whole family into the one-stop resort hotel, Nanjing Guilaixi Yaxi Manor Hotel. It was such a smart choice. The hotel is located in the Gaochun International Slow City scenic area, near Yaxi Town. It's a true manor hotel. We booked the Lakeside Two-Bedroom Villa Suite, a 255m² flat that sits in the middle of a dense bamboo forest. It's practically a natural oxygen bar. Here, you're surrounded by mountains, water, lakes, and bamboo. The entire vacation mode is all about getting up close and personal with nature: boating, archery, fishing, hot springs, cycling, and more. Every April, there's even a bamboo shoot digging activity. 1 km from the manor hotel is the Buck Rabbit Farm, which is operated by Guilaixi. According to the staff, this is an organic farm that has been in operation for 13 years and supplies organic agricultural products to Hema and other supermarkets all year round. Hotel guests can also come to the manor to experience farm stays and study tours, including feeding small animals, catching lobsters, collecting eggs, DIY crafts, and picking fruits and vegetables. Different activities are available in different seasons. Both adults and children love it. There is also a self-operated tea bar in the farm, which sells various agricultural products in addition to coffee and fresh carrot juice. When you're tired from playing, you can sit in the tea bar. It's a worthwhile place to visit.
