Cape Nosappu, the easternmost point of Japan

This is the easternmost point of Japan. You can play the game of "No one in Japan stands further east than me." When it's clear, you can see the Northern Territories, and the nearest island, Kaigara Island, can be seen about 2 kilometers away. On the day I visited, I could see Kunashiri Island and the Habomai Islands, but I couldn't see Etorofu Island. You can buy a certificate of reaching the easternmost point of Japan as a memento. There is also a souvenir shop. The price is almost the same as other places, so you might want to buy some kelp as a souvenir.
