Virginia Zoo 🇺🇸

#myhiddengems My visit to the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk was a delightful day out! 🦓 Located in a beautiful, sprawling park, the zoo offers a great mix of exhibits and experiences. The entrance fee was about $15 for adults, which I found to be a fantastic value for the variety of animals and the quality of the exhibits. I loved starting the day at the Asian Trail, where I saw tigers, red pandas, and majestic cranes. The zoo’s "Safari Park" was also a highlight, featuring giraffes, zebras, and rhinos in spacious, well-designed habitats. 🦒 One of my favorite moments was watching the playful sea lions at the Coastal Cafe, where they put on a lively show during feeding time. 🦭 The zoo is also home to a beautiful Butterfly Garden, which was like stepping into a colorful, serene oasis. There are plenty of shaded picnic areas and a charming cafe where I enjoyed a snack. After exploring the zoo, I took a relaxing stroll through the nearby Norfolk Botanical Garden, which is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
