Sunset Over San Isidro, Philippines

San Isidro is in Northern Samar. It's a small village that contains the raw culture of the Philippines, with small shops, tricycles (small cabs attached to a motorcycle) bumping along the dirt roads, and a beautiful panoramic view of the coast. There are many small towns between the larger city of Calbayog and Allen, the largest town to the north, with a ferry/bus service to Manila. There are a number of small beach resorts that are quaint and very economical, with Philippines quisine that you'd find if you stayed with a family here. They are quiet hideaways perfect for honeymooners of the adventurous type, hopping off a prop plane in Calbayog and traveling down the highway on a tricycle. For those with a lot of baggage and a more comfortable ride there also are buses available. It's a very beautiful area filled with coconut palms and bananas, friendly people with an off grid atmosphere.
