Flower Viewing Locations • Peach blossoms: • Bomi Peach Blossom Valley: With the densest concentration of peach blossoms, it's one of the most iconic spots in Linzhi. The best viewing time is expected to be from Mar 19 to Apr 9. • Sosong Village: Nestled among wild peach blossoms, it creates a picturesque scene against the backdrop of Mount Namcha Barwa. • Niyang River Bank along the Yarlung Tsangpo River: Peach blossoms complement the emerald green river, creating a poetic landscape, especially with the morning mist and the sunrise illuminating the golden peaks. • Gang Village: A hidden gem tucked away in the mountains, where peach blossoms blend seamlessly with nature, creating a mystical and tranquil atmosphere. • Mainling County: Peach blossoms along the roads and in the valleys bloom later, with the best viewing time expected to be from Mar 25 to Apr 15. • Along the Gongbo'gyamda County highway and river valleys: Peach blossoms bloom later here, with the best viewing time expected to be from Apr 6 to Apr 27. Transportation Guide • By air: Direct flights to Nyingchi Mainling Airport are available from Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an, and other cities. From the airport to the city center, you can take the airport bus, which takes 40 mins to Bayi District and costs CNY 25 per person. The bus departs when full. Alternatively, you can hire a car upon arrival. Families can opt for a van and stop at the Niyang River viewing platform along the way. • By train: You can take a train to Lhasa and then transfer to a high-speed train to Linzhi. Taking the Fuxing high-speed train also offers views of the Yarlung Tsangpo River peach blossom belt, with the best viewing time between Mar 20 and Apr 10. • By car: You can take the G318 Sichuan-Tibet Highway. The section from Bomi to Gongbo'gyamda County offers stunning scenery with peach blossoms lining the road and snow-capped mountains in the distance. Local Cuisine • Lulang Stone Pot Chicken: Slow-cooked in a stone pot from Medog, the chicken is tender, and the broth is rich. The addition of matsutake mushrooms, Rhodiola rosea, and other precious ingredients makes it both nutritious and delicious. • Tibetan Hot Pot: A copper pot is used to cook Tibetan pork, yak meat, and wild mushrooms in a yak bone broth.
