I love sweets, and whenever I travel I research and eat souvenir sweets, so I've put together a list of recommended souvenir sweets. This time, I'll be looking at Nagano, Shizuoka, and Chiba prefectures. Some last a long time, some don't, but I really love the taste of them all. Please take a look if you'd like. 🍀✨🍀✨🍀✨🍀 ■Nagano Prefecture■ 🍀✨🍀Tokura Soba Restaurant Kaya's Three Kinds of Tasting Pudding🍀✨🍀 A very stylish soba restaurant near Togura Kamiyamada Onsen, Kaya's Three Kinds of Tasting Pudding🍮 As you'd expect from a soba restaurant, the soba pudding comes with buckwheat berries, caramel, and soba bean paste, so the texture and taste change and it's fun. The apricots I had this time had a delicious sour taste with the fruit in them, and the strawberries had a gentle, nostalgic taste like bavarois🍓 I want to go back to eat the other month's puddings too, they are puddings that can be enjoyed all year round🚙 🍀✨🍀Karuizawa Le Regalan Roll Cake🍀✨🍀 Le Regalan Roll Cake (Blueberry) in Old Karuizawa🍰 Le Regalan has a nostalgic storefront. My grandmother and mother loved this cake, and we used to buy it often when we came to Karuizawa. The roll cake has a slightly unusual shape. It is wrapped in a millefeuille, a sponge cake with cream and bold blueberry jam. It is difficult to eat neatly, but the moderate sweetness and the texture of the sponge cake and millefeuille cake alternate, which is interesting😊 The stores in Old Karuizawa are constantly changing, but Le Regalan has remained the same since I was a child. 🍀✨🍀 Obuse Belge Chestnut Sable 🍀✨🍀 Chestnut sable bought in Obuse from Belge, an apple pie specialty store 🌰 It looks like a chestnut and is cute, and the darker part is chestnut cream. It's crispy and has a strong flavor and is delicious ✨ A dangerous sable that you can't stop eating. As expected, Obuse is known for its chestnuts. It's delicious even as a sable! This time it would make a good souvenir 😊 ■Shizuoka Prefecture■ 🍀✨🍀 Atami Miki Kagaku's "Cat's Tongue" 🍀✨🍀 My favorite souvenir from Atami is Miki Kagaku's "Cat's Tongue". Miki Kagaku's main store has a wide variety of cakes and other items, so I also recommend it. In fact, I often buy a slightly cheaper type for home use at the first building opposite Atami Station 😸 It's a crispy, sweet and delicious langue de chat type cookie, and is a favorite snack for both adults and children ✨ They also sell packages with several pieces that are suitable for giving away as souvenirs. It's a langue de chat that is recommended as a casual souvenir. 🍀✨🍀Atami Kuon's Kimiya Tengu Atami Kogashimaru 🍀✨🍀 Whenever I go to Atami, I always buy it from the bakery Kuon's "Kimiya Tengu Atami Kogashimaru", which I also ask for as a souvenir 😊 It's a Japanese-style cookie that uses roasted barley dedicated to Kimiya Shrine 🍪 It contains crushed macadamia nuts and walnuts, and I love how it's crunchy and dehydrates your mouth 🥰 The aroma is so irresistible, I can't stop. This cookie goes perfectly with coffee. ■Chiba Prefecture■ 🍀✨🍀Futtsu Noguchi Confectionery's "Baka Monaka" 🍀✨🍀 "Baka Monaka" from Noguchi Confectionery in Futtsu, Chiba Prefecture. It's a Japanese confectionery inspired by the bakagai (blue mussels) found in Futtsu. It looks impressive and makes a great souvenir. The rich bean paste and soft gyuhi are a nice match, and as a gyuhi sweets fan, this is a dish I definitely wanted to try✨ Marusan, a long-established shop near Kashima Shrine in Ibaraki Prefecture, has a clam-inspired "Hamaguri" with gyuhi inside, which was also delicious, but I'd love to try this Baka Monaka again😄 I would definitely recommend these to anyone who likes Japanese sweets with gyuhi inside. 🍀✨🍀✨🍀✨🍀✨🍀 Please check the website for detailed locations and prices of the shops.
