[Oita/Kumamoto] A very satisfying 2-day, 1-night road trip

Introducing the driving trips I actually took in Oita and Kumamoto! ! I especially recommend it in the fall when the leaves turn beautiful! Start from Oita Airport! Rent a car and go for a drive 🚗 ⇩ Enjoy the local Oita delicacy "Nakatsu Karaage" ⇩ Visit Usa Jingu, the main shrine of the Hachiman Shrines! The vermilion shrine was very beautiful. The grounds are large, so be careful about allocating your time. ⇩ Japan's No. 1 pedestrian-only facility! Enjoy the panoramic view from the "Kukju Bridge". ⇩ ※Yamaai no Yado Kiyasuya A member of the Japan Society for Preserving Secret Hot Springs. The Japanese modern rooms and rooms with open-air baths were very nice. It's a popular inn, so we recommend making reservations early. Head to a private hot spring that you can enjoy for a day trip. You can enjoy the white-blue hot springs at "Horei no Yu" in Waita Onsenkyo. The bath water is replaced every time. The fee varies depending on the size of the bath. I used the rock bath for 1,500 yen per hour. ⇩ Had lunch at "Teuchi Soba Tomoe," a soba restaurant with a great atmosphere at "Roadside Station Oguni Yu Station" ⇩ We went to "Nabegataki" waterfall, with its beautiful water curtain. It is a wonderful waterfall that has been used in commercials. It has changed to a reservation system because it is often crowded. During long holidays, reservations are required, so don't forget to make a reservation first when you have decided your plans! ⇩ We visited "Aso Shrine," which is also famous as a power spot. It was severely damaged in the Kumamoto earthquake in 2016, but restoration work was completed in December 2023.
