I already knew that this was a very popular tourist attraction. But I really didn’t expect there to be so many people. The original plan was to go here on Friday. Then go to Oita and Beppu on the east side of Kyushu. As a result, when I went to the station to reserve a seat with the JR Kitakyushu Pass, I was dumbfounded. I knew it was difficult to reserve a seat for the express train. Choose to go on weekdays, and go to Kumamoto and Amakusa on Saturdays. There were no seats at all. On the contrary, there were still two seats available on the first express train Yufu on Saturday morning. As expected, Yufuin is a must-see attraction in Kitakyushu. Then I'll change it to Saturday. Indeed, I encountered this train during my trip to Kitakyushu. This was the busiest time, with many passengers standing in the aisles. After taking the Yufu train for about 2.5 hours, we arrived at Yufuin from Tosu. As soon as you get off the train and walk out of Yufuin Station, At first glance, I saw Mount Yufu, which was located far away from the main road. It stands in the middle of the road, and the weather is very good in the morning. The visibility was very high, and you could even see the last bit of snow. At this time, most passengers took the first express train to Yufuin with me. Therefore, the town seems quiet. Since it is the cherry blossom season, So I chose to go around Yufuin Delta on the east side of town. Follow the river to Kinrin Lake and Tenso Shrine. However, due to the high altitude here, The cherry blossoms have only been in bloom for a few days, and are not as abundant and lush as those on the plains. But it left me with a lot of good impressions. Arriving at Kinrin Lake and Tenso Shrine, strangely enough, In fact, the most beautiful scenery of this lake is It is most beautiful when there is a little fog on the lakeside. But if you want to see this scene, There is a high probability that you will not be able to see Mount Yufu, which is indeed quite contradictory. After visiting the lake and the shrine, I saw a restaurant that was already marked. At 11:00, I think there should be fewer diners. So let's go eat first. As expected, I was the first one, so I chose the first row seat by the lake. I originally expected the restaurant to be average in terms of food, and the beautiful scenery was more important. But surprisingly, it was delicious. The Higon Hamburger Steak Set is not expensive. But the portion was big and delicious, luckily I didn't eat too much or it would have been really filling. The name of the restaurant is: レストラン ランプシャ (Yanglantern) In the afternoon, we returned to the station along the main old street of Yufuin. By the way, visit the famous Yunotsubo Street and Yufuin Flower Village. Wow, I was really surprised by how crowded it was. So many travelers came to this wild mountain. Passenger transport, tour buses and railways bring in large crowds, and restaurants are packed. I bought delicious matcha ice cream in the old street. Finally, we returned to the station and took the afternoon train to Oita, the largest city in eastern Kyushu. My impression of Oita during this trip is that it is a city. In the future, it can be used as a place to stay when traveling in Kitakyushu. Convenient transportation and numerous shops, that's probably the comment. But Beppu, a city located north of Oita, is different. As a hot spring town, there are many scenic spots. The pedestrian street, hot spring baths, and the view of white steam floating into the sky. There are many tourists, During this trip, we also visited Beppu Park and the Sakura trees in the Sakai River. Although it is very beautiful, the overall feeling of this time I think Kyushu's cherry blossoms are great in terms of overall scale and landscape. There is still a gap with the Hokuriku region. Finally, we went to Takegawara Onsen, Ginza-dori in front of the station, and the Beppu Station Market. I saw a lot of cute stray cats while shopping. Later I found out that Beppu City is very tolerant of cats. After returning to the station, we tasted the local food of Bungo Tea House. Local specialties include chicken tempura and tempura donburi. Finally, we returned to Tosu and found that we had enough time. So head to Higashibeppu, located between Beppu and Oita. This wooden station is located on the Tanoura Beach.
