At night, sitting around a bonfire under a starry sky creates an absolutely magical atmosphere. If you prefer tranquility and autumn colors, don't miss September to October, when the golden grasslands seem coated in a layer of gold. With fewer tourists, it feels like you have the entire landscape to yourself, and every casual photo looks professional. Outfit choices matter too. For stunning photos, red or yellow spaghetti-strap maxi dresses are perfect choices, looking ethereal against the grassland backdrop. For daily outings, pair long pants with long-sleeve or short-sleeve T-shirts to handle the temperature differences between morning and evening. For footwear, high-top sneakers or tall boots are recommended—buy one size larger for extra comfort. Hulunbuir offers a wealth of activities. Gallop across the grasslands on horseback and feel the wind rushing past; don Mongolian attire and experience grassland archery; climb to the top of a hill and speed down the grass slide; chase herds of cattle and sheep for an authentic natural encounter; venture into uninhabited areas to explore the unknown; stay in a yurt to experience nomadic life; ride horses at Heishantou while waiting for a breathtaking sunset; visit a reindeer farm for close encounters with these adorable animals. Here's a five-day off-the-beaten-path itinerary: On day one, explore Hailar at your leisure and soak in the city atmosphere. On day two, depart from Hailar to visit the "World's Most Winding River," Moergele River, traverse the heart of the grasslands, stroll through birch forests, and spend the night in Enhe Russian Township. On day three, follow the border patrol route, pass through Shiwei, take the forest mini-train, and arrive at Moerdaoga. On day four, journey through the primeval forest, visit the Deer Park, admire the Asian wetlands, and finally reach Heishantou. On day five, depart from Heishantou to tour private ranches, the colorful 186 Ribbon River, Lake Hulun, and experience the exotic atmosphere of Manzhouli before returning to Hailar.
