#OverseasTravel It is a Renaissance engineering masterpiece! It was built to supply water to the city. It was built in 1537. This historic well is 54 meters deep. There are 248 steps in total, non-stop down the stairs down to the bottom of the well, the stairs are very wide and clean, there are window steps along the way. Drop down to the bottom of the well, cross a narrow bridge to the stairs at the other end, and start climbing back up. The biggest feature of this ancient well is the double spiral design, which means that you go up the stairs without encountering people coming down the stairs, nor when you go down the stairs. This design is said to be from ancient times, when mules went up and down stairs to get water, without colliding with each other. Very characteristic design, well worth a visit.
