No driving, traveling with my mom who has sore feet. If you are going to Osaka for the first time, or planning to travel alone, I believe this post is completely suitable for you. ———————————————————————————— I would recommend buying the "New Osaka Amazing Pass" online in advance, because it allows you to ride the subway within the Osaka area for 2 days and can go to 40 attractions and many free "boat" services. (Osaka Amusement Pass is different), and it is recommended to buy an ICOCA card for convenient payment. [Available at subway vending machines] Day 1 (I arrived in Osaka at 10:00 because I took an overnight flight) [Using the tourist pass, all the following attractions are free] Arrive at Kansai Airport early in the morning, take a car to the hotel to store your luggage, and then have breakfast. In the afternoon, go to Osaka Castle (Nishinomaru Gardens is the best place to take photos of Osaka Castle, and you can enter for free with the tourist pass), visit the KAIYODO figure museum, have lunch in the shopping mall over there, then go to the Osaka Castle Museum, and take the last Nakanoshima sightseeing boat before 4:30. In the evening, take the subway to Osaka Port Station to ride the Tempozan Ferris Wheel and visit the Aquarium KAIYUKAN (you can also go to the Sakishima Space Tower Observatory on the way), have dinner, and finally return to the hotel to check in and rest. Day 2 [Use the new Osaka Amazing Pass to get free admission to the following attractions] At noon, go to Umeda district to ride the HEP FIVE Ferris wheel and go to the Umeda Harukas300 Observatory, have lunch, then go to the Sky Art Museum, and then take a bus to the Osaka Museum of Housing and Living. Day 3 [Use icoca card to take JR/Toei Subway, round trip for one person is as low as 1,400 yen] After breakfast, take the bus to Himeji Station. After lunch, visit Himeji Castle, Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History, and Koko-en Garden (the museum behind Himeji Castle is very interesting. It is recommended to visit it from left to right (Koko-en Garden - Himeji Castle - Museum), otherwise you will have to go back the way you came). In the evening, we walked along the Miyuki-dori shopping street, returned to Osaka, rushed to the Nagai Botanical Garden TeamLab, and finally had dinner. Day 4 [Use icoca card to take JR/Toei Subway, round trip for one person is as low as 1,400 yen] After breakfast, take a bus to Kyoto area. At noon, go to Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple and the streets, have lunch locally, and then visit Nijo Castle (Nijo Castle Main Hall and Kyoto Imperial Palace require advance online reservations). In the evening, we went to the Kyoto National Museum (open until 8pm on Fridays, but one of the venues was closed), visited the Kyoto Tower, and had dinner. Day 5 We went to Kuromon Market for lunch at noon, went to the Osaka Museum of History when it rained, and took a short rest at the hotel. In the evening, we walked from the hotel to the Shinsaibashi shopping street, had dinner, and then went to Dotonbori to shop. Day 6 After breakfast, check out and store your luggage. At noon, we went to Tennoji Zoo (some areas are currently being expanded and renovated, the polar bears and penguins are nice to see) and Tsutenkaku Shopping Street, and then took the subway to the airport.
