A hidden gem of a budget-friendly hotel in Osaka - you'll fall in love after just one stay!

InterContinental Osaka: The perfect choice for business and leisure I recently traveled to Japan and stayed at the InterContinental Osaka. The experience was fantastic, and I can't wait to share it with you. 💰️Cost per person I booked a two-bedroom suite, which was nearly 100 square meters and incredibly spacious and comfortable. However, the price-performance ratio of the two-bedroom suite isn't that great, as it's more expensive than booking two standard rooms separately. Unless you absolutely need multiple bedrooms, booking two separate rooms is more economical and allows you to take advantage of membership benefits for room upgrades. 🏘️️️Room Type/Layout The two-bedroom suite has a well-designed layout, with a separate living and dining area, as well as a kitchenette equipped with basic cooking utensils. There are two bedrooms: one with two twin beds and one with a king-size bed. The bathroom in the king bedroom is quite large, offering a comfortable experience. The only slight drawback is that the twin bedroom only has a shower room and no separate bathroom, requiring the use of the guest bathroom. The living room is located in the corner of the building, providing excellent views of the Ferris wheel and the Yodo River through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The night view is particularly stunning, even better than the hotels I've stayed at near Umeda. 🛌Amenities/Facilities Although the hotel isn't new and the decor has a strong business style with a slightly dated feel, the hardware is very well-maintained and impeccable. A unique aroma fills the lobby, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is conveniently located near Osaka Station and Umeda Station, in a bustling area with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. While it's a bit of a walk from the stations, it's easily accessible via pedestrian bridges and shopping malls, protecting you from the elements. The walk takes about 10 minutes. 🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness The soundproofing is excellent; you can barely hear any outside noise in the rooms, allowing for a peaceful rest. The cleanliness is exceptional, with rooms cleaned daily, fresh linens, and no unpleasant odors in the bathrooms, making for a very comfortable stay. 💗Other tips The doormen are welcoming, and the sky lobby where check-in takes place has a business-like atmosphere with a touch of old-money charm. The staff is polite, attentive, and provides excellent service. I initially thought the hotel had an onsen, but it turned out to be an indoor pool with a jacuzzi, which was a bit underwhelming compared to taking a bath in the room. Overall, however, these minor shortcomings don't detract from the hotel being an excellent choice for a trip to Osaka, suitable for both business and leisure travelers.
