VOCO Osaka - A New Hotel by IHG Group

I recently visited Osaka and stayed at the newly opened VOCO Osaka by IHG Group. The hotel had just opened a few days before my stay, so everything was brand new. If you enjoy staying in new hotels, you will be very satisfied with this one. I chose this hotel mainly because it opened this year, has a beautiful exterior design, and is conveniently located for my trip to Kyoto. The hotel lobby, café, bar, and restaurant are all on the same floor. When I first entered, I thought I had walked into the wrong place because it didn't look like a traditional hotel lobby. The design is very stylish with a touch of retro, making it both modern and aesthetically pleasing. The room was spacious and had all the basic amenities I needed, including a kettle, coffee machine, iron, humidifier, and even pajamas 😂. The bathroom was also quite nice, and there was an ice machine in the hallway (although I only drink hot water, I found this to be a thoughtful touch 🤣). Of course, there were some minor drawbacks, such as the duvet being a bit thick, the shower water not being particularly hot (it was raining that day, and I wanted a hot shower to warm up), and the toothbrush being quite average. Getting to the hotel from the airport required one transfer and a 10-minute walk at the transfer station, but it was only a few minutes' walk from the final station to the hotel, so it wasn't too inconvenient. There are many restaurants near the hotel, but Osaka's restaurants tend to get fully booked easily. Without a reservation, it's hard to get a table, but we eventually found a great place to eat. The owner didn't speak a word of English, and we didn't understand Japanese, so we ordered blindly, but everything turned out to be delicious!
