Osaka Travel Review: A colorful, delicious, and super cute city! Hello everyone! Today, Boom will take you to a city that can be called the "heart of food and fun" in Japan, Osaka. A city that never sleeps, full of smiles, warmth, and cuteness that overflows in every corner! ⸻ Day 1: As soon as we got off the plane, we went straight to Dotonbori! After flying directly from Thailand to Kansai Airport, I felt so excited because Osaka is a city that everyone recommends as a "must-visit!" We quickly packed our bags and took the train into the city. Osaka Station is large and modern, but it's not hard to walk around. Our first destination was Dotonbori, an area that is like a gathering place for lights, sounds, and delicious food. There's a giant, famous Glico sign. We could stand and take pictures in full view. This angle is a must-have. After walking a short distance, Boom found a takoyaki (grilled squid balls) shop. There was a long line of people in front of the shop. We decided to give it a try. Hot and fragrant, full of squid, topped with a special sauce, rich but not greasy, eaten with mayonnaise and seaweed. Oh my, so delicious that you almost forget yourself! Then, following the fragrant smell, we found Okonomiyaki, soft dough mixed with fresh vegetables, shrimp, pork and rich sauce, served hot with a little mayonnaise. Boom ate and smiled, so delicious that he couldn't stop. Dotonbori doesn't only have savory food, there are also sweets such as soft mochi, Red bean filling that is just the right amount of sweet, and many other special desserts to try. Most importantly, the shops are very cute, with friendly and welcoming staff, making us feel very warm. ⸻ Day 2: Explore Kuromon Market and shop at Shinsaibashi This morning, we started at Kuromon Market, which is known as the "Kitchen of Osaka". It is a fresh market that gathers fresh seafood, colorful vegetables and fruits, and famous foods from all over Japan. Walking around, we found small pieces of sushi that the owner made fresh every time. Boom tried the salmon, which was soft and melted in his mouth. Sweet shrimp with crispy texture, the more you eat, the more you enjoy it. In addition to sushi, Boom also tried grilled scallops with a secret recipe sauce that was fragrant and the giant crab with very sweet meat. It felt like eating fresh seafood Really from the sea. After eating, we traveled to Shinsaibashi, a shopping area with many famous brand shops and cute souvenirs! Japanese cosmetic shops here have so many promotions that we had to bring some home. While walking, we stopped by a cute cafe that served hot Japanese green tea With Japanese-style desserts, the atmosphere was warm and perfect for resting and recharging before going out to do more. ⸻ Day 3: Universal Studios Japan — Have fun in the world of movies For those who love theme parks, Universal Studios Japan (USJ) must not be missed. This is a paradise for movie lovers and adventurers. Boom started at the Harry Potter zone, which was like entering a world of magic. Everything looked so realistic that I wanted to pick up my magic wand and conjure something. Got to try the secret recipe butter beer that was sweet and smooth soft and fluffy in the mouth, so much fun that I didn't want to leave this zone. There was also a Mario Kart zone where I could race with many people's favorite cartoon characters and take pictures with Mario in a cute outfit. The food here was no less. Boom got to try various flavors of popcorn with cute minion designs. The fun here made Boom forget about time. It's really suitable for all ages. ⸻ Day 4: Explore Osaka Castle and cute cat cafes Today we headed to Osaka Castle, the symbol of Osaka. It has a long history and beautiful architecture. Walked around the castle garden with beautiful trees and flowers. It felt like we had traveled back in time to the samurai era. From the top of the castle, we could see a panoramic view of the city. Boom took lots of pictures. Then we went to the Nakazakicho area, an art district full of cute cafes. Boom chose to sit at the cat cafe and meet the friendly, fluffy cats. They sat and sipped green tea. It felt so relaxing. It feels like being at home. ⸻ Day 5: Tenjinbashi Market and chilling by the river before going home On the last day, Boom went to Tenjinbashisuji Shotengai Market The longest community market in Japan. There are many shops selling everything from food, products and cute souvenirs. Boom tried Japanese-style fried snacks, refreshing green tea and bought cute souvenirs to take home. The atmosphere of this market makes you feel warm and closer to the locals. Before going back to the airport, Boom sat and sipped coffee by the Osaka River looking at the beautiful bridge. My heart was filled with happiness and good memories that Osaka gave me. ⸻ Summary of my heartfelt impressions Osaka is a city that is perfect for everyone, whether you come alone come as a couple or come as a group. Here, there is delicious food, fun and a very cute culture. Boom felt the warmth of the people, the brightness of the city and the deliciousness that made us want to eat more. Osaka made Boom love Japan even more and want to come back to visit many times. If anyone is still hesitating about where to go in Japan, Boom would like to sincerely recommend Osaka.
