Things to know before going to Bolaven ☺️ #Sunee edition - Bolaven Forest is located in the south of Laos. - It is 1,200 meters above sea level. - You must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months. - Lao PDR does not require a visa. - Suitable for adventurers because there are many activities. - Not suitable for beginners in hiking because the way down to the waterfall is very steep. If you do not exercise before going, it is quite brutal. - There are porters here (1,000 baht) / porter / trip. - Hiking starts from June onwards. - You have to walk through rivers and streams. I recommend bringing flip flops because your feet will get sore. - The camping area is quite large and not crowded. - If you come during June-August, you will see flowers. - There are bathrooms only at the zipline and various waterfalls. - Each group in the forest must have a local guide. - You should prepare a jacket, raincoat, and quick-drying clothes. - While walking, I saw only 1 leech, which is very rare. - You should check the condition of your hiking shoes before traveling because some people's shoe soles fell off during the journey. Will make it slippery For Sunee, this forest is considered another forest that is impressive. Some parts of the path are steep and slippery. But the guides and porters take very good care of us.
