#LaosTravel The Bolaven Plateau (Lao: ພູພຽງບໍລະເວນ pronounced as Phu Phiang Bo Leuang) is a plateau in southern Laos, mostly in Champasak Province, covering parts of Salavan, Sekong and Attapeu Provinces, and is located between the Annamite Mountains, which form a natural border between Laos and Vietnam to the east, and the Mekong River to the west. The plateau is approximately 1,000–1,350 metres (3,280–4,430 ft) above sea level. The plateau is the source of many rivers and has many beautiful waterfalls. The name of the Bolaven Plateau refers to the Laven ethnic group that once dominated the region. Tourism in the Bolaven Plateau is attractive for its unique features, such as waterfalls, ethnic village markets and other interesting historical sites. #LaosTravel
