Paphos Harbour Castle

Paphos was a capital of Cyprus and a very important port. So, Paphos Harbour Castle was built to protect the city and the harbor. But it has a long history. In 1222 year it was destroyed by earthquake. During next centuries it was rebuilt and destroyed several times because of different wars and changes of rules of the island. During those centuries it was a fortress and even a warehouse house for salt. But now it’s an archeological museum, and sometimes it hosts different cultural events. It’s a nice place to walk around and learn more about the history of the island. ✅Working hours: from 8:30 am till 7:30 pm daily. ✅Entrance fee: 2,5 euro. #bucketlistreboot
