Glaciers in Patagonia!

I'm in Patagonia, south of Argentina. First, I visited the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate, the gateway to the area. I was excited by the glacier, which is said to be 70m high, and the beautiful lake. The ice blocks that sometimes collapse with a loud sound like distant thunder are very impressive. It costs 5,000 yen round trip from the town of El Calafate to the glacier, and about 2,000 yen for admission, but it was worth it 😃 Even though it was a round trip, they stopped at observation points along the way, and trekking on the glacier costs about 40,000 yen, so I think it was good value for money 😃 I headed north on the also beautiful Route 40, and next was El Chaltén in Fitz Roy. #tourism #patagonia #elcalafate #glacier #argentina
