Passionate island. Penghu. Fireworks Festival

Every May we come to Penghu for the lively fireworks festival. The sea conditions were bad that day so all boat trips were cancelled. Luckily we managed to take a plane, but it was really scary when we were about to land in Penghu as the wind was very strong. It is better to rent a car when you go to Penghu. Riding a motorcycle and the strong wind will make it impossible to enjoy the scenery. It will also hurt your head. If you have a headache, you should eat some cactus ice! Yi’s business is very good, but there is also a hidden cactus ice shop in the alley, which is also delicious! There are many art installations along the way. I walked around, took some photos, and enjoyed the sea view. I also went to some attractions that I hadn’t visited last time. I finally rode to Wai'an to buy some gua bao, but they were sold out! Business must be so good! Unfortunately, the sea conditions were bad and the original island hopping trip was cancelled. I had always wanted to go to Qimei Island to see the Twin Heart Stone Weir, but I could only visit the small one. The highlight of the evening was of course watching the fireworks display, it was packed with people! There were so many people that the stage was completely invisible, but the fireworks were truly spectacular. Everyone who saw them exclaimed in admiration, it was so beautiful. The weather was bad that day and there was supposed to be a drone show, what a pity. We went to the Penghu Sheraton buffet for dinner. The food was diverse, and the highlight was the all-you-can-drink sake and beer. If you like drinking, you must go. But be careful not to drive after drinking!
