Superb quality Chinese seafood frequented by both locals and tourists

#bestchinesefood Being a Chinese, we are not usually easily impressed by Chinese food, especially the older folks like my mum. But my mum enjoyed every single dish I ordered here (and hinted for more 🤣). Some of the must-eats: 1️⃣ Pepper Salt Shrimp – Thick, flavorful meat paired with a subtle touch of pepper salt, which is the perfect finishing touch. However, I suggest skipping the garlic bits (you might make the request to the guy taking your order) as it can feel a bit greasy, but it’s really a personal take. 2️⃣ Salted Egg Bitter Gourd (or Squid) – The egg yolk is not only used generously but also has a rich and robust taste. Its creamy texture retains the yolk’s coarse granules, delivering a taste and layering that is, to a salted egg yolk addict like me, a pure satisfaction. 3️⃣ Assorted Local Vege in Local Chilli - it uses four kinds of local vege, which includes one that foreigners don’t usually get to eat, namely petai, and cook in fragrant fermented chilli paste. Superb umami with a spicy kick. This place is especially famous with the seafood, because most of them are cooked fresh from the water (as seen in the aquarium). But it’s also on the pricier end, tho the quality often justify it. If your budget allows, feel free to try too! But dining at a Chinese restaurant is essentially all about the chef. Even with the same dish, if the chef in shift changes, the flavor tends to fluctuate a bit.
