She had no children or grandchildren. One day, Somdet Phra Naresuan (said) by himself, rowing a boat alone in the rain. When he arrived, he saw (looked at) the hut still lit by a lantern. At that time, it was evening. Somdet Phra Naresuan (said) to go up to the hut. Mae Nang Plueum saw a strong man with wet clothes coming up, so she kindly invited him. But he spoke loudly, as is the nature of a brave warrior. Mae Nang Plueum warned him, “My son, don’t be so loud. It’s already late. The king will hear and be angry. He spoke even louder, “I want to drink sandalwood water. I’m wet and cold. I want sandalwood water to keep my body warm.” Mae Nang Plueum was even more shocked because today was a Buddhist holy day. Mae Nang Plueum said that if he really wanted to drink it, he had to promise not to let the news spread or the king would find out and it would be dangerous. Phra Naresuan agreed. Mae Pleum then gave her some sandalwood water to drink (eat). Somdet Phra Naresuan stayed overnight at Mae Pleum's house and returned to the palace in the morning. Later, a procession was organized to take Mae Pleum to be raised in the palace. Because Mae Pleum was a compassionate person who was loyal to the king, after Mae Pleum passed away, Somdet Phra Naresuan held a funeral to honor her.
